Power Washing FAQ

MVP Powerwashing utilizes industry leading equipment that was custom designed to our specifications allowing us to be capable of cleaning almost any exterior surface.  Our equipment includes but is not limited to Hot Water Pressure Washers, Cold Water Pressure Washers, Soft Washing Systems, Surface Cleaners and a variety of cleaning solutions.  

While we get asked this question frequently, we can’t speak for our competitors but can only attest to the superior level of service that you will receive when hiring MVP.  We begin our introduction with a thorough proposal explaining all of our options and cleaning methods.  We set an appointment that works for our schedule as well as our customer’s. On the day of service, we contact our customer while we are on our way to ensure that they are ready for our arrival.  Once on site, we greet the customer and go over the cleaning to be performed.  During the cleaning process, we treat every house as if it is our own and pay attention to every detail, no matter how little.  Because of this process, 80%-90% of our customers become annual customers after their first cleaning.

Yes!  MVP has cleaned more rust stains over the years than we can even remember.  Most rust stains we encounter in New Jersey are from hard water.  Although we can safely remove these stains, we also make sure to tell customers these stains will re-appear eventually if the root cause isn’t remedied.  Some customers choose to add a water filtration system to remove the iron from the water that causes the orange stains.  Other customers are satisfied having the stains removed annually.  

This question is dependent upon numerous factors.  Is your house close to the Ocean where it gets covered in Salt?  Are there shady areas of your house near landscaping causing mold to grow quickly on your siding?  Or do you just want your house freshly cleaned ready for summer every year?  While 80%-90% of our customers choose annual cleanings, there are some customers who don’t mind an every other year cleaning.  The choice is fully up to you!

We can still perform most of our exterior cleanings even if there is light rain.  If the rain becomes heavy where crew safety or quality of the cleaning will be affected, we will work to the customer to quickly re-schedule to the next available cleaning.  

Yes, several local municipalities and governmental entities utilize our services on a frequent basis.

Upon arrival, we attach one of our hoses to an outside hose bib at your location.  The cold water is then fed into our Hot Water system that consists of a 400,000BTU Diesel Fired Hot Water Heater.  The water is then instantly heated and allows us to clean with water temperatures ranging from 90 degrees to 220 degrees.

While almost all of our cleaning solutions are environmentally friendly, we request that all animals are brought inside at the time of cleaning.  We will also thoroughly rinse any plants and landscaping to ensure that they look the same as when we arrived.  

Each customer has a unique cleaning and their own personal concerns.  We will do our best to explain our processes, provide referrals and offer pictures on our website and social media to show our work.  In the extreme case that a customer would like a demo before they commit to their cleaning, we can provide a demo free of charge.

Due to the high demand of our services at the Jersey Shore before Memorial Day, we begin booking our annual customers in Mid-January.  This ensures that we can prepare all of our Commercial Beach Club accounts for the Summer Season while also guaranteeing our annual residential cleaning customers that their properties will be ready for Memorial Day weekend or before.
